Newsletter June 6, 2024 – Our Stories, Garden Walk, Afterglow Concert, Hox Acres

Dear Green Space Friends,

We have some exciting announcements for summer as we continue to work towards the acquisition and preservation of 297 Prospect Street!  We have teamed up with some amazing partners to host the 2024 Romeo Garden Walk with all proceeds benefiting GSOPS. Please visit “Our Stories” where we are sharing our stories and memories and continuing to explore the reasons why “This Place Matters”. And why not help a neighbor steward their green space? Find out what Washington Township is doing at Hox Acres this weekend below.

Our Stories

The Green Space on Prospect Street project has brought together many individuals and families who support our effort to leave a legacy for future generations. We launched Our Stories to enrich our understanding of the 4.6-acre property at 297 Prospect Street and what it means to the community members who support its acquisition and preservation. Please join us as we explore the history of the property and find out why “This Place Matters”. Special thanks to Sue Wiers who has organized our story project and conducts the interviews with heart and humor. You can hear interviews with green space advocates and Romeo alumni Sue Poosch, Mark Dembowski and Bob Thomas and listen again to that great “This Place Matters” song by Ed Kiefer. What stories would you like to share?
