The Romeo Community Schools Board of Education has invited GSOPS to make a presentation to the Board\, after which they will go into closed session to discuss our proposal. We do not expect a decision to necessarily come out at this meeting. \nFranco Folino and Donna Folland will be presenting. We welcome you to attend the meeting and hear our presentation and bring your valuable presence to the meeting. We do not suggest public comment at this meeting. DESCRIPTION:Please join Green Space on Prospect Street and partners for a benefit to acquire and preserve the entire former Romeo Middle School property at 297 Prospect Street as public green space. For all of us. Forever. \nHistory of 297 Prospect Street – Historian Carol Bacak-Egbo will take a deep dive into the property’s history\, The Romeo Community Archives at the Romeo District Library – Kezar Branch will display artifacts from the historic schools\, and we will invite you to share and record your stories and memories. \nImagining our Green Space – Help us visualize a green space that promotes health\, wellness\, and equity. A place where our kids play\, where we can be quiet in nature or gather with other people. A place that brings our community together. \nFeaturing: Raffle and silent auction\, live music\, appetizers\, desserts and drinks \nTickets: $50 per person\, kids under 12 are free. Buy your tickets at Event Brite. (Event Brite charges a processing fee). Reserved tables of 8 are available – inquire at greenspaceromeo@gmail.com.
