Purpose of Survey
Green Space Romeo (GSR) launched the green space survey to find out the level of public support for the Green Space on Prospect Street project. We felt that if the survey showed the project had widespread community support, it would justify our proposal to acquire the property. Additionally, a strong positive response would help assure that we have a base of support for our long-term capacity to develop and manage the green space for the community.
Distribution
We believe that all voices matter. We distributed the survey link beyond our usual contact list because we also wanted to hear from proponents of other visions for 297 Prospect Street such as residential development. The survey link was shared with GSR’s email list of 500+ emails and on GSOPS Facebook and Instagram pages. It was further shared on several community pages. The survey link was shared in media coverage by The Macomb Daily, The Record (February 12th), WXYZ-7 News, The MittTV and WBRW.
Survey Process
The survey was launched on Survey Monkey on February 2, 2025 and closed on February 24th at noon with 318 respondents. It was set to accept only one survey response per person or browser IP to prevent anyone from submitting multiple survey responses. The survey consisted of six (6) questions.
