Green Space Challenge Stories Day 20
“20 years ago we moved from Rochester Hills to Romeo.
Many countless times we had taken the drive to the village to see the historic homes and beautiful green space. We then purchased our home that was built in 1864. We now enjoy daily morning walks, frequently chatting with other walkers and sharing the wonders of our surroundings.
We raised our family in Rochester. Our kids, and now our grandkids, love to come to Romeo. They enjoy the “fishy” park near the senior center. They have always enjoyed going there. Hitting a few golf balls and enjoying the green space has always been a joy. The ability to continue and expand our space to an area that serves all will be the way it always should be.
Some favorite photo memories: I backpacked in 74’ throughout Europe. LSSU (Lake Superior State College) where Kim & I met 💕now called LSSU (University), pics of lighting/water. Our Secret Garden with fairy’s gifts for Grandkids. Going up north to Roger’s City with the great greenspace there complete with sunset sunrise and lakes.
This place matters. We hope you agree.”
