Green Space Challenge Stories Day 31
“You are one of the forces of Nature” – Jules Michelet
“The four of us have lived in the Romeo area since 1995. We have lived in several states. We moved here from Pittsburg, our children were born in Texas. When we moved here we fell in love with Romeo’s history, orchards and green spaces.
Both girls graduated from the Romeo schools and I worked briefly as a teacher’s aide in the district.
We have traveled extensively in the U.S. Canada and Mexico. We love observing and photographing nature, and how it grounds and calms us.
We love to garden and maintain our property and enjoy visiting gardens everywhere for ideas and inspiration.
We have many hobbies, we love to attend sports events especially the Red Wing games. I played softball, volleyball and basketball in my younger years. Our many hobbies keep us busy, including gardening, crafting, landscaping, healthy cooking and volunteering.
My husband manages Advanced Auto Parts and I am currently working as a caregiver after years of being a beautician. Christina is a nurse practitioner and Amanda works for Quicken loans.
This space is important to maintain as a green space for its history, and what it will provide for the community.”
“Because the Earth does not belong to us we belong to the earth.” -Chief Seattle
My favorite quote is: “Let go and let God.”
Always Remember:
You are Braver than you Believe
Stronger than you Seem
Smarter than you Think
And Loved more than you Know
